In Punat, on the island of Krk, visitors have had the opportunity since 1996 to experience one of the island’s most beautiful traditions – the olive harvest.
During their stay, visitors can take part in the harvest, learn about traditional olive-picking methods, and enjoy the unique atmosphere of the olive groves. During the harvest, the hosts prepare a traditional workers’ snack (težačka marenda) in the olive grove, featuring local food and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere. The experience can be further enriched with a visit to the Franciscan Monastery on Košljun, including a tour of its three museums and the Church of the Annunciation of Mary, as well as a visit to the olive oil mill and a tasting of extra virgin olive oil at the Toš Gallery.
