Saturday, March 22nd, at 10:00 AM, Maritime Heritage Interpretation Center DUBoak – Malinska
On the occasion of World Water Day, we invite you to join a special interpretive walk through the Dubašnica drmuni (stone fields). This time, we will present a unique phenomenon found within them – the ponds. Whether formed naturally or through human activity, these ponds are not only a source of food and water for domestic and wild animals, but also serve as habitats for many plant and animal species, further enhancing the exceptional biodiversity of this region.
World Water Day has been celebrated since 1994, with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of water and water resources, as well as drawing attention to their inaccessibility for a large portion of the world’s population.
Participation in the walk is free, but to help us organize the group, please register by email at duboak@malinska.hr or by phone at +385 91 621 4304.
