A Summer Comedy by Ri Teatar in Punat
The Tourist Board of the Municipality of Punat and Ri Teatar invite you to the hilarious comedy “Oh, Almighty Jupiter, What Have We Done?”, taking place in Punat on Tuesday, August 19th at 8:00 PM in the courtyard of the Municipality of Punat.
Set on a small Adriatic island, this topical island comedy follows the quirky residents of three villages – Malčić, Srednjić, and Velčić – as they prepare for a historic moment: the start of construction on their very first sewage system. To mark the occasion, a local group (a retired teacher, a bar owner, a gravedigger, and the town garbage collector) is tasked with preparing a ceremonial play. But things quickly spiral out of control…
Instead of the solemn tragedy envisioned by their drama-obsessed director, a series of misunderstandings, mistakes, and absurd moments turn the event into complete chaos. The result? A sharp, fast-paced tragicomedy that humorously reflects everyday life, Balkan mentality, and the challenges of organization.
Packed with colorful characters and quick scene changes, the play delivers Ri Teatar’s signature humor and is perfect for audiences of all ages looking for an evening of laughter and satire.
