This summer as well, in the unique setting of the early Christian basilica Mirine near Omišalj, the Classics at Mirine festival will be held, a long-standing event that brings together renowned classical music artists and delights audiences from across the region.
In July, we can look forward to four magical evenings under the starry sky, right by the sea, featuring some of the most prominent names on the classical music scene: Monika Leskovar, Martina Filjak, Lana Trotovšek, Maria Canyigueral, Eva Mach, Martina Jambrišak, and Petrit Çeku with his guitar trio.
Wednesday, July 9 – Eva Mach (violin) & Martina Jambrišak (accordion)
“Ravel & Kreisler – 150 Years of Inspiration”
This non-traditional but highly impressive duo of young artists—violinist Eva Mach and accordionist Martina Jambrišak—presents a musical tribute to the 150th anniversary of the birth of the great composers Maurice Ravel and Fritz Kreisler. The contrast of their styles invites listeners to discover the richness of musical diversity—where, in this case, the accordion takes the place of the traditional piano.
The program will also include a work by Davor Bobić, one of the most performed Croatian composers of today.
All concerts begin at 9:00 PM.
Admission is free. Complimentary tickets are available at the Omišalj Municipality office and the Tourist Information Center in Njivice.
