Visitors will have the opportunity to discover unique pieces that convey the spirit of Kvarner and the island of Krk through maritime motifs and seafaring heritage. \nExhibition dates: 5 – 31 July 2026Opening hours: daily from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PMPlaca Exhibition Space\, Njivice \nThe official opening will take place on Sunday\, 5 July 2026\, at 11:30 AM. \nWe invite all art lovers and visitors to Njivice to experience the beauty of the sea through the distinctive artistic expression of Iva Jurjević Prodan. \nBorn and raised on the island of Krk\, Iva Jurjević Prodan is a creative artist who\, through her brand BODULKA DESIGN\, successfully blends tradition with contemporary interior design. Her deep connection with the sea dates back to her childhood in one of the first houses in Njivice\, then a small fishing village\, where the sight of boats and the scent of salt shaped both her life and artistic journey. Her work is distinguished by unique three-dimensional relief paintings and sculptures that preserve the stories of our maritime heritage. Her creations are permanently exhibited in her own gallery in Njivice\, a place that has become a must-visit destination for admirers of authentic island art. \nThe hallmark of her artistic expression is her innovative use of palm wood. By exploiting its distinctive textures and fibres\, Iva creates traditional Adriatic boats such as the pasara and gajeta\, often combining them with ropes and fishing nets. Rather than using a conventional canvas\, she focuses on relief\, allowing the rough texture of the wood and refined aesthetic details to evoke the sea and its saltiness so vividly that they can almost be felt by hand. \nInspired and encouraged by the local association Women for the Island (Žene za otok)\, she embarked on her professional artistic path and developed her independent career and recognizable brand. This solo exhibition in Njivice\, located just above the Tourist Board offices\, offers an overview of her work to date and serves as a tribute to the sea\, tradition and the heritage of our childhood. \nAdmission is free.

SUMMARY:Opening of the exhibition "First on the Adriatic" and the launching of the wooden boat "Jaruška"
DESCRIPTION:It was created thanks to the cooperation of the Crikvenica City Museum and the Croatian Maritime Museum Split\, and it focuses on the beginnings of ferry transport on the Crikvenica – Šilo line on the island of Krk. The line was maintained by the legendary ferry Bodulka\, which is remembered by all older Crikvenica residents and islanders. As the first on the Adriatic\, Bodulka “sailed” into the history not only of Crikvenica\, but also of Croatian transport in general. \nIn addition to the ferry line\, the exhibition also focuses on the general development of the Crikvenica port\, steamship lines that were the main connections of coastal settlements before the advent of ferries\, but also the historical orientation of the Crikvenica residents to the eastern coast of the island of Krk\, which influenced the founding of the town of Šilo and ultimately the construction of the Krk Bridge. The exhibition also covers the contemporary segment of the maritime heritage of Crikvenica and Šilo\, which has often been neglected so far. \nThe curators of the exhibition are Tea Rosić (Crikvenica City Museum) and Ljubomir Radić (Croatian Maritime Museum Split) \nThe exhibition is open daily from 6 pm to 10 pm.

This cheerful summer evening brings together local and international guests every year\, offering great music\, dancing\, socializing\, food and beverage options\, and a fantastic open-air atmosphere. \n\n\n\n\nThe event will take place at the local parking area Pod gušternu\, next to the Falkensteiner Park Hotel. \nThe organizer of the event is the Tourist Board of the Municipality of Punat\, in cooperation with Radio “Aktual” from Slovenia. This year\, on Thursday\, 23 July 2026\, great entertainment will be provided by the popular Slovenian group Mambo Kings\, along with well-known host and animator DJ Dean. Admission is free.

DESCRIPTION:We invite you to join the 7th Pilgrimage of St. James\, which will take place on Saturday\, July 25\, 2026. \nPilgrimage Schedule \nMeeting point: 7:30 a.m. in Donji Frankiži (turnoff for Ponikve\, by the roadside traffic mirror) \nPilgrimage departure: 8:00 a.m. from the Chapel of St. James in Male Ponikve towards Kornić. \nThe meeting point will be marked with the flag of the Frankopan dukes of Krk\, and parking will be available at the meeting location. \nRoute: Male Ponikve – Donji Frankiži – Muraj – Brajutovci – Kornić \nDistance: 5.3 km \nDuration: approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes \nParticipants are advised to wear sturdy walking shoes and use sun protection (a hat and sunscreen with SPF). \nPlease bring enough drinking water. The recommended amount is 1.5–2 litres per person. \nThe pilgrimage will take place regardless of weather conditions. \nParticipation is free of charge\, and no prior registration is required. \n

The famous Croatian singer Damir Kedžo\, who has already proven himself on many occasions and on the boards that mean life\, will unite in a performance with the national opera champion\, Rijeka soprano Kristina Kolar. Along with members of the Rijeka Symphony Orchestra\, the program will include some of the most famous songs that we are used to hearing performed by Damir Kedžo\, as well as excerpts from operas or musicals.
