On World Music Day, Sunday, June 21 at 9:00 PM, the Parish Church of the Holy Trinity in Baška will host a concert performance of one of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s most celebrated sacred works – the Coronation Mass in C Major, K. 317. It is no coincidence that this concert takes place on the first day of summer, when an international celebration dedicated to music and its importance in everyday life is observed around the world.

This Mozart masterpiece will be performed by the Sklad Women’s Choir from Bakar and the Zvir Female Vocal Ensemble from Jelenje, accompanied on piano by Davor Juretić. The soloists are Olga Šober, Ivanica Vunić, Marko Fortunato, and Slavko Sekulić, under the baton of the distinguished conductor Nada Matošević.

The Coronation Mass is one of Mozart’s most popular and frequently performed masses, a work that combines beautiful melodies, expressive text setting, and the composer’s unmistakable musical style. A special feature of this performance is that, for the first time in Croatia, this monumental Mozart work will be presented with an exclusively female choir, in collaboration with distinguished opera soloists.
