DESCRIPTION:Trail running enthusiasts are in for a real treat – the 16th edition of Krk’n’Trail\, Croatia’s first trail race\, and a legendary race of the Treking League\, returns this year with one of the most exciting sporting challenges in the Baška Outdoor Festival programme. \nKrk’n’Trail is the kind of race where everyone comes together – from experienced trail runners and serious athletes to recreational runners\, groups of friends and those who simply want to find out if they can go a little farther than they thought. That is exactly why the race attracts a large number of participants year after year\, turning Baška into a true trail-running hub. Start\, course\, finish line – running\, cheering\, encouragement and socialising are everywhere. The energy that fills Baška on race day is hard to describe – you simply have to experience it. \nThe routes cross the rocky western ridge of the Baška Valley\, taking runners through karst landscapes\, dry-stone walls and old shepherds’ paths. Rocks underfoot\, the sea beside you and views that get better the farther you move away from Baška. The longest route stretches all the way to Stara Baška. \nAnd when you turn back towards the finish line – Baška is right there in the palm of your hand. A panoramic view to remember. SUMMARY:BOF - TOUCH THE SKY  – Anima Adventures
DESCRIPTION:This year’s Rocky Hill Hike Tour takes you along the eastern Baška ridge\, into the heart of Baška’s rugged and fascinating landscape – from Zakam\, across the Moon Plateau\, Diviška and Hlam\, and back towards Baška. Covering 14.5 kilometres and guided by Anakin Adventures\, the hike offers a completely different perspective of Baška. \nThrough the fragrant pine forest\, the trail leads to Zakam\, where the first spectacular views open up towards Baška\, the sea\, the Church of St. John and the islet of Prvić. After climbing towards the ridge\, the route reaches the Moon Plateau\, where bare rock and karst create an almost otherworldly landscape\, giving this place its distinctive name. \nThe trail continues across the plateau towards Diviška (471 m)\, with the landscape becoming increasingly rugged. Rocks\, dry-stone walls and old shepherds’ paths reveal one of the most distinctive landscapes of the island of Krk. A break will be taken at Lokva Diviška\, one of the highlights of the route. Surrounded by characteristic shepherds’ walls that once divided the pond into five sections for watering sheep\, Lokva Diviška remains a remarkable testimony to traditional pastoral life and livestock farming in the area. With a little luck\, you may also spot griffon vultures soaring above the ridge from the nearby Kuntrep Ornithological Reserve. \nAlong the way\, we will discover other traces of the life that has existed here for centuries – dry-stone walls\, ponds and mrgari\, unique stone structures that reflect the tradition of communal pastures and sheep farming. The route then continues across the rocky landscape\, passing the Kalić pond and leading towards the summit of Hlam (461 m). The summit is marked by a stone pyramid topped with a small aluminium cross\, offering views of the surrounding peaks\, the western ridge of the Baška Valley and the sparse pastures where flocks of sheep can still be found. \nThe return to Baška follows the “Put ka Mjesecu” trail through pine forest and rocky terrain\, with new panoramic views of the Baška Valley and the sea. \nA route that brings together the rugged beauty of Baška’s karst landscape\, traces of traditional pastoral life and unforgettable panoramic views. \nDate: 11 October 2026\nMeeting point and time: 09:30 in front of Heritage Hotel Forza; start at 10:00\nTrail length: 14.5 km\nTotal elevation gain: 525 m\nWalking time: 4.5 hours\nHighest point: 471 m\nRoute: Baška – Zakam – Moon Plateau – Diviška – Hlam – Put ka Mjesecu – Baška\nRequired equipment: Basic hiking equipment (hiking shoes\, backpack\, water\, hat/sun protection and walking poles)\nParticipation fee: Free of charge\nRegistration: https://forms.gle/GYFUAgYXMCW42J816\nRegistration deadline: 8 October 2026 at 12:00 (or until capacity is reached)\nMaximum number of participants: 120
